Cox Automotive is seeking Software Development Interns to join our team and learn from seasoned engineers. You’ll work on enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, and automation across public and private clouds.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or related field.
• Interest in software development, systems, networking and security.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Experience in writing code in at least one high-level programming language.
• Familiarity with public cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban).
• Interest in building secure, resilient applications at scale.
• Interest in gathering data to measure performance and progress.
• Familiarity with AI tools used in software development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Developing and managing enterprise platforms and deployment pipelines.
• Developing tools to automate tasks and maintain infrastructure on clouds.
• Documenting development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Adhering to best practices, security, and engineering standards.
• Building tools and pipelines to facilitate CI/CD across environments.
• Automating packaging, deployment, and configuration management processes.
• Gathering feedback from delivery and operations teams to improve throughput and quality.
• Monitoring system and service performance and escalating as needed.
• Leveraging AI tools to assist in productivity and testing.
