Job summary

BCT LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II with an active TS/SCI with POLY to design, develop, test, and deploy complex software systems. The role involves working on data analytics, real-time systems, and large data sets, using Java, Unix shells, and modern OSS/CD tools.

You will lead teams, review code, and ensure performance and security requirements are met. The ideal candidate brings strong Linux skills, scripting abilities, and experience with container technologies like Docker, along with

Qualifications

Experience with Linux CLI and Linux tools.
Scripting in Bash and Python to automate tasks.
Experience with Ansible for orchestration.
Experience with authentication protocols and IAM for HPC in Linux.
CI/CD practices including GitLab CI.
Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
Git Source Control experience.
Experience leading software development teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Debug existing software and correct defects.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems.
Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
Develop and execute test procedures for components.
Oversee one or more software development teams.
