Job summary

BCT LLC in Maryland is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active TS/SCI with POLY and design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain complex software systems across analytics, data processing, and real-time environments.

You will lead software components, review code, implement algorithms, and work with DevOps practices including CI/CD, Git, Docker, and Open-Source/COTS software considerations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Scripting with Bash/Python to automate tasks.
• Experience with automation via Ansible.
• Experience developing authentication/authorization for HPC on Linux.
• Basic Linux system administration (User/Group management).
• CI/CD familiarity with GitLab CI.
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with Git source control system.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure timely delivery.
