Job summary

BCT LLC seeks a Software Engineer II to join our team in Annapolis, MD. The ideal candidate must hold an active TS/SCI with POLY. You will design, develop, test, deploy, document, and maintain complex software systems across analytics, data processing, and real-time applications.

Responsibilities include debugging, feature addition, documentation, and leading project efforts within an Agile environment. Familiarity with Docker, Git, Spring, and Kafka is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux CLI and scripting to automate tasks.
• Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestration.
• Experience developing authentication protocols, authorization logic for HPC systems in Linux.
• Basic Linux systems administration including user/group management.
• Experience with CI/CD principles and GitLab CI.
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• Experience with Git Source Control System.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Oversee one or more software development teams and ensure timely delivery.
