Job summary

AeroVironment in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Software Engineer II (Applications) to design, develop, test, and maintain software for training and simulation product lines. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, plan and implement features, and contribute to software design reviews.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience in Windows or Linux development, strong OO design, and proficiency in C#/.Net, C++, or QT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Experience with C#, C++, and/or QT and Unity.
• Experience with unit tests and debugging.
• Experience with Agile software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Works within a defined software life cycle development process.
• Participates in software design reviews and documents designs.
• Implements coding according to standards; writes tests and validates software.
• Delivers work on time per project schedule and budget.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and collaborates with multiple teams.
