Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Software Engineer II (Applications) to design, develop and test software for training and simulation products in an Agile team. You’ll work on stand-alone, networked, cloud-based, or web tools with guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include life-cycle adherence, design reviews, documentation, unit testing, and timely delivery while mentoring others and collaborating across multiple software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years in Windows or Linux app development with OO design.
• Expertise in C# .Net, C++, or QT and Unity development.
• Experience writing unit tests and debugging code.
• Familiar with Agile software processes and SCM tools.

Responsibilities

• Work within a defined software life cycle development process.
• Participate in software design reviews and write design docs.
• Develop and test software for enhancements and new products.
• Deliver work on time per plan and budget.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate across teams.
