Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a software engineer to develop and support customer order management and supply chain applications. You will translate stakeholder needs into enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications include a BS in IT/CS, 3+ years in software development, and strong experience with Java/Spring Boot, React/Angular, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud deployment on Azure or GCP. Strong SQL and microservices experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS; relevant experience allowed.
• 3+ years of software development or retail systems experience.
• Experience with Agile and Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Backend Java with Spring Boot and modern features.
• Frontend with React or Angular and TypeScript.
• Container orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Cloud deployment experience on Azure or GCP.
• Experience with a relational DB: PostgreSQL/SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL.
• SQL writing and optimization knowledge.
• Strong microservices and distributed systems experience.
• Proficient in shell scripting and Linux commands.
• Solid unit testing and SDLC understanding.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Own full software development lifecycle for projects and fixes.
• Manage user issues via ticketing system.
• Identify risks and document upgrade recommendations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance within agile teams.
• Guide Scrum or Kanban practices for the team.
• Support deployments and night-time product rollouts.
