Job summary

NS2 Mission is seeking an Expert Software Developer to provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle for mission‑critical applications. You will design, build, and deploy scalable enterprise and cloud‑native solutions while mentoring junior engineers and guiding best practices.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of software development experience, strong Java and Angular skills, and a proven track record with API development, CI/CD, and DevOps in an Agile setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive experience building enterprise and web‑based software solutions.
• Strong experience with Java application development.
• Experience with Angular front‑end development.
• Experience designing web services and APIs.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM and Lean Agile practices.
• Experience with Git and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
• Experience translating requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Experience with JDBC/ODBC or similar interfaces.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications and web‑based solutions.
• Provide engineering support for mission and infrastructure projects.
• Lead software design efforts across the full SDLC.
• Translate user requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design architectures, workflows, and technical diagrams.
• Develop and customize software to improve operations and mission effectiveness.
• Support database design, integration, and development tasks.
• Develop and maintain websites and web apps, including deployment.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and QA activities.
• Provide technical analysis and project status reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Mentor junior developers and analysts; provide guidance.
