Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a senior software engineer in Atlanta to develop and support customer order management and supply chain applications. The role emphasizes hybrid work with in-office Mon Tue and Thu collaboration, agile practices, and modern Java/React tech stacks.

You will implement scalable services, build CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teammates to deliver reliable enterprise solutions. Responsibilities include SDLC ownership, deploying improvements, and partnering with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS or equivalent experience.
• 6–10 years in software development or retail systems experience.
• Experience with Agile methods and Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with Jenkins and pipelines.
• Backend in Java Spring Boot with modern Java features.
• Frontend with React or Angular and strong TypeScript.
• Container tech: Docker and Kubernetes, cloud (Azure/GCP).
• Databases: PostgreSQL/SQL Server/MySQL; strong SQL.
• Microservices design, Linux shell scripting, SDLC knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own full SDLC for projects, from design to deployment.
• Manage user issues and ticketing related to applications.
• Identify risks and document upgrade recommendations.
• Mentor teammates and guide Agile practices.
• Support deployments and night product rollouts.
• Establish coding guidelines with leads and managers.
• Integrate new products into the existing environment.
• Champion AI-assisted development and tooling usage.
• Analyze data to solve business issues; provide high service levels.
• Handle multiple projects across business units.
