Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a software developer to design, build, test, and support modern applications in an Agile environment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to deliver secure, maintainable code for county operations and resident services.

You will contribute to APIs, UI and backend logic, perform tests, and participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Three years of software development experience.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement features, user stories, and bug fixes following Agile practices.
• Collaborate with QA, UX, and operations to ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Write clean, well-documented code and perform unit/integration testing.
• Participate in design reviews, pair programming, and CI/CD activities.
• Assist in documenting solutions and creating system flow diagrams.
