Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a software developer to contribute to design, development, testing, and support of secure, maintainable software in an Agile environment. You will work with product teams to deliver high-quality features, APIs, and UI, following County standards and CI/CD practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with QA, UX, and operations, while participating in sprint planning and backlog refinement to size tasks and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• At least three years of software development experience.
• Preferred cloud certifications: Azure Developer Associate, AWS Developer Associate, or CSD.

Responsibilities

• Implement features, user stories, and bug fixes under guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives).
• Develop and maintain UI, APIs, and backend logic; write clean, documented code.
