Job summary

Slate is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to design, build, and ship features for our direct-to-consumer EV platform. You will work with product, UX, and senior engineers to deliver customer-facing software that connects buyers with their Slate experience.

You will own feature development end-to-end, participate in code reviews, ensure quality through tests, and collaborate with UX and product teams to meet customer needs in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building and shipping features in customer-facing software systems.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, and modern development practices including testing and code reviews.
• Ability to work independently and solve diverse problems.
• Experience consuming or integrating third-party APIs.
• Experience with ecommerce or marketplace systems is a plus.
