Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Fleet Enablement & Insights team, building Torc's in-house annotation platform. You will work on a web 2D/3D editor, fuse sensor data, and deliver scalable tools that support ML and data validation for autonomous trucking.

The role emphasizes high-performance visualization, annotator UX, and collaboration across Data Annotation, Autonomy/ML, and Engineering teams. A strong production background is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in TypeScript/React and production web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the TypeScript/React web application for 2D and 3D annotation, including cuboid and polygon editing, cross-frame interpolation and track propagation, attribute editing, and review-first workflows.
• Build high-performance point cloud and image rendering with three.js/WebGL and streaming formats for multiple sensors.
• Design and build services behind the editor: label storage/versioning, QA workflow, authentication, and multi-user guardrails.
• Integrate pre-labeling outputs into the annotation workflow and instrument acceptance-rate/throughput metrics.
• Fuse HD map data into annotation and QC workflows as priors and reference layers.
• Build data converters from multi-sensor scene data into platform formats.
• Deliver dataset exports for ML training and validation with traceability.
• Collaborate with Data Annotation, Autonomy/ML, Mapping, and Data Engineering teams.
