Job summary

Commure is hiring a Software Engineer II for the Air Billing team, owning end‑to‑end features on claims, appointments, and payments posting. You will work on fast, data‑dense workflows and help drive AI‑driven productivity while integrating with healthcare plumbing such as EDI transactions.

You’ll collaborate with product, design, and billing operations, write testable production code, and contribute to a scalable technical direction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building full‑stack applications with a track record of shipping features end‑to‑end in production.
• Solid frontend skills and ability to diagnose data‑dense UI rendering issues.
• API and data‑layer fundamentals with experience in filtering and pagination over sizable datasets.
• Strong engineering judgment to avoid over‑engineering and make tradeoffs.
• Excellent debugging and observability instincts for production reliability.
• Clear communication and proactive questioning when things are unclear.
• Ownership mindset and bias for action, taking responsibility for features.

Responsibilities

• Own features end‑to‑end on the claims, appointments, and payments‑posting surfaces — from design phase through production rollout.
• Write production‑ready code with meaningful tests and observability, and design clean interfaces and data models.
• Partner with product, design, and billing operations to ensure solutions address biller workflows.
• Build reliability and observability into features — dashboards, logging, and alerting for fast issue detection.
• Review code and designs with a focus on correctness, performance on data‑dense screens, and consistent UX.
• Help set technical standards and direction as the team scales, and onboard teammates.
