Job summary

Dark Matter Technologies seeks a Software Engineer II to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support its lending and mortgage technology platforms. This role collaborates with product managers, QA, and security to deliver scalable, secure software.

You will contribute to architecture discussions, write high-quality code, and mentor junior engineers while participating in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Experience with enterprise applications and services.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software applications and services.
• Translate technical and business requirements into maintainable software.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide pragmatic recommendations.
• Develop moderately complex components, APIs, integrations, and UI features.
• Create unit tests and support QA activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, Operations, and Security.
• Document designs, specifications, procedures, and development standards.
