Job summary

Dark Matter Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Engineering team. This role targets recent graduates or early-career developers passionate about building high-quality software for the mortgage and real estate tech space.

You will work with senior engineers, product managers, and QA to design, test, and maintain enterprise applications, while learning our standards and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 0-3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Embraces an AI-First mentality in software development.
• Understanding of OO design principles and fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and basic SQL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and services.
• Participate in the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Write clean, well-documented code following standards.
• Analyze business and technical requirements for solutions.
• Collaborate during sprint planning, reviews, and design discussions.
• Investigate defects and production issues, creating docs.
• Contribute to code quality, automation, performance, and reliability.
• Learn Dark Matter products, platforms, and regulations.
