Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Technology landscape. You will perform intermediate end-to-end engineering tasks across system assignments, including development, testing, debugging, and health monitoring, using AWS, React, NodeJS, TypeScript and Python.

The role follows an Agile approach, with opportunities to grow in a modern, collaborative environment. The base salary range for this nationwide posting is $99,100 to $163,400, with eligibility for performance-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field and 2+ years software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with API development and scripting languages (JavaScript/TypeScript/Python).
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and cloud delivery stacks (AWS).
• Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace and own outputs.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration for intermediate complexity assignments.
• Collaborate to analyze defects and incidents and escalate as needed.
• Work within team guidelines to solve well-scoped problems independently.
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
