Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Technology organization as we grow and transform our IT landscape. You will complete intermediate end-to-end engineering tasks including developing, testing, debugging, health monitoring, and implementing based on design specifications.

The ideal candidate has three years of programming/development experience, a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM field, and two additional years of software engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in education and/or work experience.
• 2 additional years of software engineering experience.
• Three years of programming/development experience.
• Delivery-focused with steady, predictable pace and ability to decompose work into smaller releases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions for assignments of intermediate complexity.
• Collaborate with team to analyze defects and incidents and escalate appropriately.
• Work within guidelines set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems.
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
