Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software for government clients. You will work closely with engineers to craft robust Java-based capabilities and modern REST/microservices architectures.

The role emphasizes next-gen AI agent integration, security-conscious coding, and rapid delivery in a hybrid Columbia, MD environment. Candidates should have strong testing, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills, with DoD clearance being preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience Software Engineering with Java and modern frameworks (Spring, Guava) or 3 years with a Masters in related field.
• Strong testing skills, troubleshooting, and ability to work under pressure with deadlines.
• Experience with RESTful services, microservices, OOP, Linux, and cloud tech (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with agile software lifecycle and tool suites (JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise).
• Knowledge of AI tools and agentic workflows (Claude Code, Gemini) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality software for federal government customers.
• Integrate next-gen coding agents into daily engineering workflows and automate tests.
• Guide AI agents through multi-repo architectures, audit code for security and performance.
• Work in a fast-paced, small business environment with the Wyetech team.
