Job summary

Wyetech, LLC is seeking a senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software for federal government clients. You will work with Spring, microservices, RESTful services and modern tooling in a hybrid environment at our Columbia, MD location.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years of software engineering experience with Java, strong testing skills, and familiarity with AI agent workflows (Claude Code, Gemini). Security clearance will be processed as required.

Qualifications

• Security clearance is required or will be processed; US citizenship required.
• 9+ years of software engineering experience with Java and modern frameworks; or 7+ years with Masters; or 13+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and distributed databases recommended.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement complex Java-based software capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions for federal clients.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and integrate AI agents into workflows.
• Guide AI agents through multi-repository architectures and ensure security and performance.
