Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO, seeks a Software Engineer to improve and extend Build & Test software used in our manufacturing environment. You will diagnose difficult software/hardware integration problems and deliver maintainable solutions for sustaining projects.

The role involves debugging, maintaining, and enhancing customer-facing applications across desktop, mobile, or web tools, and contributing to architecture focused on performance and testability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production-quality software utilities or applications.
• Experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Strong OO programming, design patterns, and maintainable coding practices.
• Experience on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience deploying containerized apps such as Docker.

Responsibilities

• Own the Build & Test software used to configure, calibrate, and test products in production.
• Profile, trace, and resolve complex performance issues and data flow in applications.
• Design and develop new Build & Test functions for sustaining engineering projects.
• Debug and enhance customer-facing desktop, mobile, or web-based tools.
• Act as technical expert on application software and hardware integration.
• Contribute to architecture and design for maintainability and performance.
• Develop, test, and implement changes to improve manufacturing flow and quality.
• Provide escalated software troubleshooting to Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Service.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
