Job summary

Stored Energy Systems LLC (SENS) in Longmont, CO, seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to design, develop, and maintain an automated testing framework for our line of industrial battery chargers and power systems.

The SDET will collaborate with the engineering team to define test requirements, build test cases, and drive test plans, ensuring high reliability across front-end and back-end components on Linux and Windows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an SDET or Software Engineering role.
• Experience with HTTP, TCP-IP and UDP protocols.
• Proficient with UI testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, TestComplete or similar.
• Experience testing Web and Desktop Applications.
• Proficient in one or more OO languages such as C# or Java.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows development/deployment.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with GitHub and source code repositories.
• Experience conducting code reviews and improving code quality.
• Ability to build and maintain a CD pipeline on hardware products.
• Strong AI literacy for AI-assisted development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build an automation framework to test code being released to production.
• Contribute design and development of an Automated Test Framework for Charger products and solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify product test case requirements.
• Participate in test plan creation, design, implementation, and execution phases.
• Design and develop test cases and test suites meeting hardware and firmware specs.
• Monitor and report automated test coverage to stakeholders.
