Job summary

Anduril Industries is a defense tech company delivering autonomous systems and AI-enabled maritime solutions. Software Engineers drive end-to-end delivery of software across autonomy, simulation, data processing, and off-board control, contributing as technical leads from architecture to sustainment.

We expect candidates with strong software design skills, experience across stacks, and willingness to mentor others. US Secret clearance is a plus; travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
• Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer across domains/technologies.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software/design.
• Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
• Ability to own software services end-to-end, including requirements, roadmap, design, and sustainment.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and grow the team.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Empathize with end-users and balance needs with constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, optimizing value delivery.
• Design and implement scalable software with evolution path for architecture and capabilities.
• Contribute to reusable software services across Anduril product lines.
• Develop software for both robotic and non-robotic platforms across stacks.
• Support initial delivery and iteration of vehicle and mission software, including testing and monitoring.
• Create test and simulation fixtures with software- and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
• Mentor Software Engineers from diverse backgrounds within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Travel to co-locate with end-users/teams up to 20% of the time.
