Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive software across autonomous maritime platforms, with end-to-end ownership from design to testing. You will build scalable, reusable components and contribute across multiple subsystems.

Applicants should have deep software experience and the ability to mentor others while navigating mission-critical constraints. US Secret clearance is required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, CS, or Engineering or equivalent.
• Extensive professional experience as a Software Engineer across domains/technologies.
• Experience with algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, and system design.
• Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
• Ability to own software services end-to-end, with stakeholder engagement and roadmapping.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Preferred: senior delivery experience on a military mission system.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery of software integrated into Anduril products, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, and control.
• Provide technical leadership for rapid architecture, design, and evolution of autonomous platforms.
• Develop scalable software for on- and off-robotic platforms with reusable components.
• Collaborate across teams to create cross-product services and standards.
• Write backend services and embedded software in C++, Rust, or Go; use TypeScript/React for frontend as needed.
• Contribute to development processes including full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
• Support manufacturing and deployment of vehicles and missions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users or other teams.
