Job summary

The John Gore Organization in Boca Raton is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to design, build and maintain internal applications and tools that support our business operations.

You’ll work across the full stack from front-end interfaces to back-end services and databases, collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders, write clean code, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to ongoing improvements of our internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework using C#.
  • Experience building web-based apps including HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Experience consuming and creating APIs.
  • Familiarity with Blazor and cloud native architectures a plus.
  • Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL); NoSQL (Dynamo) a plus.
  • Cloud storage such as S3.
  • Ability to work in a team and follow SDLC.

Responsibilities

  • Writes, tests and debugs code across front-end and back-end components.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software defects.
  • Documents code and technical processes.
  • Collaborates within a team and with external partners to design and implement new features.
  • Participates in code reviews and follows team coding standards.
  • Continuously learns new tools, languages and best practices.
  • Meets agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision.
  • Attends required training or team/company events.

Summary

We’re looking for an entry-level Software Engineer to join our Boca Raton technology team. In this role, you’ll help design, build and maintain internal software applications and tools that support our business operations, working across the full stack from internal, front-end interfaces to back‑end services and databases. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional business stakeholders to understand requirements, write clean and maintainable code, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the ongoing improvements of our internal systems. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career developer to grow their technical skills while working on real‑world projects that directly impact our organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Write, test and debug code across front‑end and back‑end components

Competencies
  • Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience/competency in building applications with Microsoft .NET Framework with a strong history of using C#
  • Experience building web‑based applications including: Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Consuming and creating APIs
  • Experience working with Blazor is a plus
  • Experience working with cloud native architectures a plus
  • Experience working with data storage to include: Designing data models
  • Relational databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, NOSQL variants such as Dynamo a plus
  • Cloud storage such as S3
  • Familiarity with LLMs and related technologies such as MCP/UCP a plus
  • Ability to take a positive team approach to working with co‑workers and adhering to our SDLC
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
