Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Software Engineer in Jacksonville, FL, onsite. You will develop and deliver complex requirements ensuring functionality, non-functional, and compliance standards are met.

You will code, design architecture components, mentor peers on CI/CD, refine stories, and drive end-to-end solution delivery with a focus on maintainability and testability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of data structures and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Oracle or MySQL relational databases.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver on requirements per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance standards.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, interfaces, and solution enablers.
• Mentor other engineers and coach CI/CD practices.
• Refine stories, define requirements, and estimate delivery work.
• Perform proof of concepts to mitigate risk or test new ideas.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
• Deliver complex features to enable development efficiencies.

Role Overview

This position is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Solutions must be well-designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built-in from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver on requirements per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance standards.
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers.
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.
• Execute story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work necessary for the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automate manual release activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
• Deliver complex features and technology to enable development efficiencies.
• Provide technical thought leadership based on software implementation experience.
• Accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.

Technical Skills

• Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages including Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting.
• Understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing.
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow.
