Job summary

Visionist, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer - Platform to join our fully funded PRIME contract program.

You will embed with analysts and engineers to develop tools that improve efficiency and enable rapid iterations for our operations users, delivering production-grade cloud infrastructure and automation. You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling to ensure reliable deployments while following security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Python or another modern programming language.
• Understanding of containerization concepts and tooling such as Docker.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting the organization's AI capabilities (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable, reliable deployments.
• Configure and use observability tooling to monitor the health and performance of production services.
• Support certificate management and follow established security best practices for AI systems and data.
• Collaborate with other teams in the organization to provision and configure the infrastructure their services depend on.
• Diagnose and help resolve production infrastructure issues.

Salary range: $115,000 - $160,000
