Visionist, Inc. in Laurel, MD is seeking a Software Engineer - Tools and Applications for a fully funded, top-secret program on our PRIME contract.

You will develop AI tools and applications, ensure high availability, and tailor solutions by engaging with customers. We require a technical degree, 3 years in software development, Python or OO languages, experience with LLMs, strong communication, and quick learning ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 4 years of experience may substitute.
• Proficiency with Python or another object-oriented language.
• Experience using LLMs within code solution workflows.

Your contributions are:

• Develop high-quality AI tools and applications for the workforce to use
• Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security of AI tools
• Modify FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) to accommodate the customers use cases
• Regularly engage with customers, conducting requirements elicitation and developing solutions to address their needs
• Maintain existing customer-facing infrastructure and applications, ensuring reliable services

Requirements For Your New Career:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 3 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency with Python or another Object-Oriented Programming language
• Knowledge of and experience with using LLMs as a part of a code solution workflow
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles

Salary range: $115,000 - $160,000

Salary for this position, along with additional compensation options, will be determined on an individual basis following the interview process, considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education/certifications, contract specifications, market conditions, etc.
