Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and build full‑stack software that keeps thousands of robots moving across Amazon's fulfillment network. You will own end‑to‑end software problems, define technical strategy, and mentor teammates, impacting real warehouse operations at scale.

You will work on real‑time dashboards, maintenance tools, and systems that surface equipment health, with a focus on reliability and performance in a massive distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, distributed software.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement distributed systems applications and infrastructure for robotic movement.
• Influence the team's strategy and contribute to long‑term vision and roadmap.
• Collaborate with solutions architecture and operations teams to iterate on design.
• Maintain high standards via reviews, fault tolerance, and operational excellence.
• Prototype and test concepts through simulation, emulators, and live robotics.
• Test prototypes with customers and partners and incorporate feedback.
• Mentor other engineers on the team.
• Utilize software engineering processes and technologies.
