Job summary

Amazon Robotics is hiring embedded software engineers to build safety-critical systems for a global fleet of fulfillment robots. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, writing code that powers real-world robotic operations.

You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, cloud software, and field support teams, exploring AI-enabled development on resource-constrained embedded platforms while upholding rigorous safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical robotics systems using C/C++/Rust, with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools and LLMs to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate across hardware, manufacturing, robotics, and software teams to deliver integrated solutions from concept to deployment.
• Contribute to the product lifecycle following an agile software development approach.
• Engage in code reviews to improve code quality and system reliability.
• Debug and optimize embedded systems in lab and field environments.
• Mentor and grow alongside team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
