Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of a scalable web application for internal robot-team collaboration.

You will own major portions of the system, guide cross-functional teams, and set technical direction for a greenfield platform serving thousands of internal users. Strong frontend, backend, and AWS skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or engineering lead.
• Experience with web services, APIs, REST, SOAP, microservices, SOA.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Proficiency in one modern language (Python/Java/Scala/NodeJS).
• 7+ years SDLC incl. coding standards, reviews, CI/CD and ops.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical architecture for the frontend application.
• Make critical decisions on technology stack, design patterns, and system architecture.
• Lead design and implementation of complex scalable web features.
• Establish engineering best practices and development workflows.
• Drive technical roadmap discussions and influence product strategy.
• Build high-performance React applications using modern patterns.
