General Motors seeks an early-career Software Developer to join the Virtualization and SIL Integration team in Milford, MI. You will help design, build, and deploy co-simulation environments for embedded controllers across propulsion, battery, chassis, and body systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with senior engineers, and growth in SDV and virtual test capabilities. Hybrid work requires on-site presence three days weekly in Milford.

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Java, or Embedded C.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira and CI/CD concepts.
• Coursework or experience in AI/ML, security, data structures/algorithms, or web development.
• Able to work in a collaborative cross-functional team.

Aufgaben

• Develop and integrate co-simulation components for end-user test requirements.
• Create and maintain virtual controller models for simulations.
• Implement virtual controller components (HWIO, RTOS, comms models).
• Parameterize subsystem models (sensors/actuators/ECU behaviors).
• Collaborate with engineers to define feature requirements and issues in the virtual environment.
• Support SIMBOM definitions with System Engineers.
• Integrate plant and ECU models into dynamic virtual simulations.
• Document interfaces, assumptions, and usage guidelines for releases.
• Provide first-line support and troubleshooting for simulations.
• Contribute to tool/script/workflow improvements, including Python, SQL, CI/CD, and cloud tech.
