Qualifications

• 60 months combined work experience in any combination of defining/approving requirements, performing code reviews and ensuring development standards, including 12 months in the primary technology specified by the description.
• OR completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems with 42 months combined experience in the same areas.
• OR completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems with 36 months combined experience in the same areas.
• Equivalent minimum class qualifications note: primary technology must be listed in the position description and job posting.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, test, debug, and optimize program code to create or modify applications used by employees and citizens of Ohio; work in a team or as primary/sole developer as needed.
• Ensure code passes functional, performance, and load tests and adheres to Ohio security standards.
• Participate in Agile planning activities such as effort estimation, sprint planning, and design reviews.
• Investigate and analyze technology to improve software development; share knowledge to grow the team's capabilities as a technical SME.
• Ensure high quality through code reviews and coordination with testing; assist leadership with quality standards development and documentation.
