Job summary
The Ohio Department of Health is seeking a Software Development Specialist 2 to design and perform systems analysis, recommend application solutions, and support testing and deployment within the Microsoft .Net Environment. This role focuses on maintaining enterprise software and guiding implementation activities.
You will collaborate with business users to gather requirements, provide post-production support, review development methodologies, and help define standards for the software
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Experience with .NET Framework – C#
- Experience with Azure Cloud Development (e.g., Azure Functions)
- Experience in web development (ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework)
- Experience with Azure DevOps (GIT)
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development
Responsibilities
- Work with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements
- Perform post production support for business applications which may include routine maintenance, enhancements and the need to perform research to aid in troubleshooting software production errors
- Assist software development team in the review and evaluation of software development methodologies
- Perform software implementation tasks, including source control and deployment activities
- Assist in the development and documentation of appropriate standards and criteria for acceptable programming and systems development lifecycle activities
- Lead discussion(s) or formal meetings with technical and/or non-technical personnel on simple to moderate technical topics in support of software development
