Job summary

TaxSlayer is hiring a Software Developer to design and implement high-performance systems in a hybrid Augusta, GA environment. You will work on microservices and cloud-native architecture, delivering scalable backend services and modern front-end components.

You should have strong C#/.NET expertise, experience with React/TypeScript, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and observability tools.

Qualifications

• Strong C# and ASP.NET Core Web API experience.
• Solid OO design fundamentals and common patterns.
• Ability to work across modern and legacy .NET codebases.
• Experience with distributed backend systems, microservices, async workflows, messaging patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and modernize C#/.NET applications, including ASP.NET Core Web APIs, microservices, and legacy MVC applications.
• Develop reliable backend services and message-driven workflows for high-throughput distributed systems.
• Design, tune, and troubleshoot SQL Server workloads and indexing; optimize performance.
• Build React applications using TypeScript and modern frontend patterns.
• Create services for containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes patterns.
• Integrate with Azure services (Key Vault, Container Registry, Blob Storage) following platform standards.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for reliable delivery.
• Use Grafana and other observability tools to monitor production behavior.
• Write automated tests with xUnit, Jest, and Playwright.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and translate business goals into technical solutions.
