TaxSlayer is seeking a skilled Software Developer in a hybrid role based in Augusta, GA. You’ll design and build scalable .NET microservices and modern front‑ends, collaborating across teams in an agile environment to deliver impactful software.

The role emphasizes C#/.NET, cloud-native patterns, and robust SQL Server work, with Docker/Kubernetes deployment and Azure integration to support a high‑availability tax software platform.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and ASP.NET Core Web API design and implementation.
• Strong OO design and common patterns.
• Experience with distributed backend systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing across API/UI layers with modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain .NET applications including microservices and legacy MVC.
• Develop backend services with message-driven workflows for high throughput.
• Design and optimize SQL Server workloads and queries.
• Create React frontends with TypeScript and modern patterns.
• Deploy and run services in Docker/Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate with Azure services and maintain CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
• Monitor production using observability tools and write automated tests.
• Lead code reviews and mentor engineers in an Agile environment.
