About the role:

Intermedia is seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced, agile environment. As an SDET for the Voice Back Office team, you will design and execute a variety of automated and manual test procedures to ensure the integrity and functionality of our Back Office Voice software before its deployment on Intermedia's production network.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with QA and Development teams to identify and implement effective test automation strategies.
• Develop a comprehensive testing strategy by analyzing product design and requirement specifications.
• Install, configure, deploy, and debug software in a Linux environment.
• Report, document, and track software defects using Atlassian Jira.
• Manage and oversee multiple QA projects with minimal supervision.
• Research, document, and share technical information and processes to relevant stakeholders.
• Apply black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing techniques to ensure the quality and functionality of Voice systems and software.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent field and 2+ years of experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Java and its fundamental concepts, including data types, OOPs design, and control structures.
• Scripting skills in Python, Perl, shell, or equivalent.
• Experience with front-end and back-end automation.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Demonstrated understanding of the complete software development lifecycle process.
• Extensive professional QA experience in a complex software development environment.
• Hands-on experience testing in Linux, Unix and Windows environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in reverse engineering techniques, with the ability to analyze and deconstruct software systems to understand their components and functionality.
