Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Project Engineer to travel to customer warehouses and manage installation of our Exacta Software. This role will oversee all phases of software development and automation projects, coordinating team members, materials, and equipment across the U.S.

and internationally. The engineer will work with the operations team to ensure schedules and budgets are met and to maintain proactive communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with MS Office and MS Project.
• Familiarity with databases, SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience with material handling or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with project teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral participant in the software installation, testing, debugging, and eventual turnover of the system to the customer.
• Submit weekly Project Reports to keep the customer continually updated, hold teleconferences, and schedule face-to-face meetings.
• Provide key input about the customer's operations to ensure that BSS creates the best design possible for the customer.
• Work with Software Developers. Regularly communicate with Software Developers to improve our product and solve issues.
• Provide Customer and Internal Training. Regularly provide scheduled training on BSS software either at BSS's office or on-site.
• System Quality Assurance. QA to ensure knowledge of inter-workings of each module and expedient on-site troubleshooting and remote support.
• Support the customer’s system as required, including remote and on-site when needed.
