Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Cary, NC is seeking a Retail Manager (Softlines) to oversee the apparel, footwear and gifts departments, ensuring strong customer service, effective merchandising, and optimal staffing. You will drive sales, manage inventories, pricing, and floor presentation while leading a team to deliver a legendary shopping experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3–5 years in Retail Management with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments.
Ability to analyze reports and manage financial plans.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervises one or more Sales Departments (apparel, footwear, gifts).
Maintains planograms and inventories; supports pricing and merchandising.
Staffing: interviewing, training, scheduling, evaluating performance; coaching.
Ensures excellent customer service and a legendary shopping experience for all customers.
Opens and closes the store; handles manager on duty responsibilities.
Drives sales by identifying customer needs and promoting programs (CLUB Membership, VOC, In-Store Pick-up).
