Job summary

Goodwill Houston is actively seeking a Soft Line Merchandising Specialist for our Cypress, TX location. You will sort donations, price items, and ensure merchandise is properly hung by department and category. You’ll process backroom donations and prepare goods for the sales floor, while supporting efficient, cost-effective operations aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sort soft goods (clothing, linens, etc.) according to guidelines to maximize production.
• Price merchandise using current baseline pricing guidelines.
• Hang sorted goods on appropriate hangers and maintain size order by department.
• Inspect items to ensure they meet quality standards and assist customers as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading donations and keeping supplies available.
• Perform janitorial and housekeeping duties and adhere to safety regulations.
