Job summary

Mounds View Public Schools in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Spring 2027 9th Grade Softball Coach to lead the daily operations of the program, develop players, and implement training plans.

The ideal candidate holds a Minnesota coaching certificate (or equivalent), has coaching experience, and can collaborate with parents, staff, and the community to foster character and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

Overview

The 9th grade coach is responsible for managing the daily operations of the program.

Qualifications

• A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
• Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
• Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
• Positive, high energy, and committed.
• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
• View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
