Job summary

Sylvania in Minnesota seeks a dedicated 9th Grade Baseball Coach for the spring season (3/22/27–6/14/27). You will develop fundamentals, manage practices, and guide players through skill progression and team strategies.

Responsibilities include maintaining student welfare, enforcing policies, coordinating with the Athletic Director, attending meetings, handling required paperwork, and upholding the no hazing policy while fostering discipline and team morale.

• Maintain student welfare and oversee level of competition; instruct fundamentals, strategy and training for individual/team success.
• Maintain discipline and raise morale within the program and school community.
• Enforce no hazing policy and prohibit humiliating or harmful activities.
• Carry out regulations described in the handbook and preseason meetings.

Job description

Coaching Position: 9th Grade Baseball Coach

Season dates: 3/22/27 thru 6/14/27

Essential Functions:

Establish policies and procedures for keeping parents and students informed of activities and events; establish policies to address parent or student issues or concerns; regularly updates the Athletic Director on issues, concerns and highlights.

Attend all required meetings and submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.

Maintain and oversee the welfare of students at all times; determine and maintain student’s level of competition; instruct students in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training in order or realize individual and/or team success.

Maintain discipline and work to increase morale and cooperation within the school program and school community.

Carry out all regulations as described in the handbook and/or preseason meeting.

Enforce "no hazing policy" which includes no humiliating, degrading, emotional/physical harm, language or activities.

Compensation:

Stipend pay as outlined in Appendix C of the Master Agreement
