Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Operational Psychologist (OP) to apply behavioral science to support assessment, selection, and resilience of Special Operations Forces. You will provide expert consultation, conduct government-approved research, and deliver advanced training to maximize performance and mission readiness.

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance or eligibility are required for contract performance.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from APA-accredited program.
• Active LCSW or LMSW license in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years of post-doctoral experience in operational psychology.
• Completion of an APA-accredited internship or residency.
• Experience with psychological assessment tools and consultation with command personnel.
• Experience with program validation and government-approved research.
• Specialized training in operational psychology and related domains.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological expertise and direct services to SOF personnel.
• Develop resiliency programs and assess person/job match and team cohesion.
• Consult in assessment/selection, performance enhancement, and leadership development.
• Conduct and interpret a full spectrum of psychological measures.
• Maintain credentialing and manage records per guidelines.

Education

PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology

LCSW or LMSW license

Post-doctoral experience in operational psychology

Experience with psychological assessment tools
