Job summary

Maximus seeks an Operational Psychologist to apply behavioral science to assessment and selection and to enhance SOF readiness and resilience in support of mission objectives.

U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance are required; contract work continues pending award. The role emphasizes expert consultation, government‑approved research, program evaluation, and advanced training for personnel performance and resilience.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA‑accredited program.
• Current state license in psychology or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum two years of peer‑reviewable, post‑doctoral experience in operational psychology.
• Experience with assessment and selection, and government‑related research preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of staff and ensure coverage for assigned programs.
• Provide expert clinical and operational psychology consultation to SOF personnel.
• Develop, plan, and evaluate resiliency and performance programs.
• Conduct, administer, and interpret psychological assessments.
• Collaborate with existing psychologists or operate independently when needed.
• Maintain professional standards and APA guidelines; manage records and privacy.
