Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Health Performance Advisor to support U.S. Special Operations Command. You will lead HP services, training, data collection, and equipment management for SOF operators, especially where no HP Manager exists.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, develop training materials, ensure compliance with USSOCOM and POTFF, and help optimize readiness and performance across missions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
• Current certification as one of the following: Certified Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Physical Therapist, Cognitive Performance Specialist, or Performance Dietitian.
• At least five years of demonstrable accumulated experience developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport- and/or mission-specific performance programs for athletes or SOF Operators.
• Specialized experience coordinating new functional training and nutrition programs with positive results from HPA work.
• Experience conducting multi-domain programming including lectures, multimedia, and hands-on training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HP program in locations without an HP Manager.
• Assist the HP Manager as needed.
• Plan, develop and synchronize technical training, guidance, and programmatic and policy recommendations.
• Secure, protect, and enhance the readiness of all operators.
• Design, implement, document, and oversee HP services with a methodical approach.
• Inventory HP supplies and requisitions; manage equipment maintenance.
• Oversee HP staff training and travel; develop materials.
• Collect and report data to the HP Manager and USSOCOM.
• Document work in the SPEAR database.
• Attend interdisciplinary POTFF meetings and collaborate with medical staff.
• Utilize required software and technologies as directed.
