Duties Description
Coordinate caseload management with multidisciplinary staff for individuals with complex disorders and disabilities; may supervise Social Work Assistants and care staff.
Promotion: one year of service as a Social Work Assistant 1.
Open Competitive: Bachelor's degree in a human services field and two years of social work experience.
Substitution: Master's degree in a human services field can substitute for one year of experience.
This role is part of the NY HELPS program, allowing non-competitive appointment without an exam, with future conversion to permanent status.
Preference given to impacted OPWDD employees; all employees must maintain Medicare and Medicaid eligibility. Additional benefits include loan forgiveness, paid holidays, leave, health insurance, retirement, professional development, and inclusion initiatives.
