Job summary

Nexus Health in Belleville, IL is seeking a Social Services Director to lead planning and delivery of inpatient social services. You will recruit, hire, train and supervise staff, and implement evidence-based treatment modalities to support residents.

You will coordinate referrals, provide clinical supervision, and develop PIP tools to improve care. The role requires licensing and strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to advance quality and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed practitioner per Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, licensed psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
• At least two years of direct care experience with psychiatric disorders
• Three years of supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated decisiveness and delegation ability
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
• At least two (2) years of experience in direct care of individuals with psychiatric disorders
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively and delegate authority
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
