Job summary

Gateway Health Services seeks a licensed Mental Health Professional to join its administrative team as Treatment Director. You will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, guide crisis interventions, supervise staff, and oversee day-to-day operations of the program.

Roles encompass policy implementation, staff development, and community outreach. You must hold a Master’s in a behavioral sciences field and be licensed or pursuing licensure as a psychologist, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, CNS, or

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral sciences-related field and licensure as a behavioral health practitioner.
  • Competence in diagnostic assessments, treatment planning and progress notes.
  • Ability to work with intensive residential treatment services (IRTS) patients.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce agency policies for mental health services and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations.
  • Meet with CEO to review clinical care and staff performance.
  • Lead team meetings and provide clinical consultation and education to staff.
  • Develop community relationships and refer clients to other professionals as needed.
  • Provide psychotherapy to adults and coordinate services across locations.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
  1. Implements and enforces all policies and procedures pertaining to the agency’s mental health services; stay current on changing policies, laws, and requirements for all mental health programs; and assures Federal and State regulations are being followed.
  2. Meets regularly with the CEO to share information regarding mental health services and review employee performance related to their clinical care of clients.
  3. Participate in regular meetings with team, operations, and management.
  4. Actively seeks out and provides education and outreach opportunities.
  5. Public Relations/Networking/Liaison
  6. Responsible for the reputation and public image of the agency
  7. Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the community.
  8. Refer clients to other professionals as needed.
  9. Communicate with other providers involved in mental health services.

Maintain continued education on community resources.

  1. Have knowledge of all agency programs
  2. Promote creative problem solving and collaborative person-centered services by facilitating regular staff meetings and provide clinical consultation to staff.
  3. Plan for and train staff on clinical issues
  4. Reviews all clinical paperwork (e.g. Functional Assessments, Treatment/Service Plans, external Diagnostic Assessments)
  5. Conduct and write diagnostic assessments and interpretive summaries.
  6. Be available in the office or by phone for staff consultation.
  7. Provide psychotherapy to adults through individual, couple, group, and/or family.
  8. Make referrals, coordinate services, monitor and evaluate the delivery of services.
  9. Provide Community Based Services.
  10. Provide services in various billable locations.
  11. Maintain professional relationships with individuals we support, employees, DHS, counties, and other community providers.
  12. Create professional reports.
  13. Handle crisis situations and provide direction to staff when necessary.
  14. Identify client needs and treatment plan goals
  15. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified as a Mental Health Professional under the requirements of the Department of Human Services (DHS) with a Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or a related field, and licensed as one of the following:

Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or is a Psychiatric or Osteopathic Physician, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or is working on a clinical license.

A willingness and ability to work with clients receiving intensive residential treatment services (IRTS).

Comprehensive knowledge of the Department of Human Services requirements, policies and procedures for IRTS and 245I statues.

Thorough skill reading, writing and conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Willingness to be trained in and implement restrictive procedures within the guidelines of 245I statues.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships students.

Ability to establish and maintain standards of behavior.

Ability to work as an effective member of a team with staff, clients, clinical providers, and the community through the building and maintaining of collaborative and positive relationships.

Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication that is maintained during high-stress and crisis situations.

General skill operating standard office equipment and applicable hardware and software.
