Job summary

6th Ave Senior Living in Tacoma, WA seeks a Social Services Coordinator to support residents with behavioral health and daily living needs. You will blend clinical knowledge, advocacy, and hands-on assistance to help residents navigate challenges, access resources, and thrive in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related clinical field.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience; senior living or behavioral health is preferred.
• Experience supporting older adults and/or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with state regulations governing assisted living is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans reflecting residents’ needs and goals.
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and therapeutic support for residents.
• Help residents access community resources, including counseling and wellness programs.
• Collaborate with staff to promote resident engagement and a supportive living environment.
