Job summary

The Salvation Army Capital Area Command is seeking a dedicated Social Services Coordinator to oversee all social services functions, coordinate programs, and ensure compliance with policies and reporting requirements.

This role includes budget development, data management, volunteer coordination, and collaboration with community partners. A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred, with strong communication, organizational, and driving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred or four years of experience in a related field.
• Ability to develop policies, procedures and evaluate programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all Social Services functions.
• Support seasonal and ongoing programs (e.g., Christmas and Angel Tree).
• Oversee pantry program operations at the Command office.
• Coordinate and oversee volunteers.
• Develop and implement Pathway of Hope services.
• Provide direct client services and financial/material assistance.
• Assist with data management including reports and grant reporting.
• Assist with annual budgeting and funding applications.
